An old friend, abandoned

This bike rested, chained to a street sign, for months until if was finally moved. I wonder what its story was. Where was the owner? Why was it just left? And if the owner did not care about the bike, why bother to secure it?

The image is blurred, but I liked the effect and decided not to discard it.
